The
Digital Altimeter Setting Indicator (DASI) system computes and
displays Altimeter Setting Indication (ASI) for Air Traffic
Controllers (ATC).
The
DASI system measures the atmospheric pressure and converts the
measured pressure value into the actual sea level pressure based
on the U.S. Standard Atmosphere Table.
Elevation
setting and ASI correction, if required, are implemented through
a front panel keyboard. No
periodic gain or slope adjustments are necessary.
The Barometric Pressure Sensing Element used is a
secondary standard providing unparalleled precision and
long-term stability.
